‘Classic American Quilts’ at the American Museum

Displays from the museum’s quilt collection, ranging from 18th century to early 20th century – many rarely seen due to their great size or fragility. This museum is a beautiful manor house and exhibition hall, and lovely garden to walk around, the food is good too.

Admission: Various prices as exhibitions varies
Open Tues – Sunday 12 – 5, plus Mondays in August and Bank holidays

I recommend a pre-booked group visit, you are allowed in an hour before opening and a special guide gave us a talk on textiles and the lives of early American settlers as displayed in the house.
